Custom Installations

Landscape Art Designed for Extraordinary Spaces

The premise

You do not need to know which photograph you want, or what size it should be, before getting in touch.

Most projects begin with a wall and a feeling. Randy photographs the West at extremely high resolution, frequently stitching many exposures into a single panoramic file, so a finished piece can hold its detail at eight, fifteen, or twenty-seven feet wide. Past installations have ranged across all of those scales.

The process

01

Show Randy the space.

Send a photograph of the room and approximate wall dimensions. Nothing else is required: no decision about image, size or material yet.

02

Explore possibilities.

Randy recommends artwork from the archive and builds realistic visual concepts placing pieces within your actual room, at true scale.

03

Refine the piece.

Crop, proportion, scale, material and finishing are developed collaboratively until the artwork belongs to the architecture.

04

Create the finished artwork.

The piece is produced, finished and planned for installation specifically for that environment.

Scale

Pieces from roughly eight feet wide to a twenty-seven foot custom installation.

Craft

Decades of hands-on experience with printing, mounting, finishing, framing and very large output.

Collaboration

Comfortable working inside a designer's process, drawings, timeline and material palette.
